China News (from Beijing, March 29) (Reporter Xu Jing) The parallel forum of the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum annual meeting—Beijing International Youth Innovation and Development Forum—was held on the 28th. At the event, the list of 2025 Zhongguancun U30 winners was released, and the recruitment and selection work for the 2026 Zhongguancun U30 was launched.

At the forum site, U30 initiator representative and Yu Hao, Chief Executive Officer of Legend Holdings, officially released the 2025 Zhongguancun U30 winners list. Thirty young entrepreneurs who have been deeply cultivating cutting-edge fields were selected. The winners display distinctive traits of a high starting point, hard-core technology, and rapid growth.

According to statistics, the average age of the 30 winners for 2025 is only 29 years old; the youngest is 21 years old, demonstrating the vigorous momentum of the young cohort. The advantage in educational background is significant: there are 23 people with a master’s degree or above, including 12 doctoral candidates. They graduated from top universities at home and abroad. Most of them studied under academicians or internationally authoritative scholars in the field. During their studies, they participated in national-level key projects, hold multiple patents, and have solid technical reserves and strong innovation capabilities.

In terms of enterprise development, the companies of 25 winners have already completed one or more rounds of financing, with the highest being 6 rounds. These companies have broadly deployed future industries such as artificial intelligence and humanoid robotics, as well as emerging industries such as life health and biomedicine, and key areas such as the digital economy and cultural creativity. They have made breakthroughs and taken leading positions in their respective sub-sectors, cumulatively providing nearly 1,000 job positions for society, injecting youthful momentum into industrial upgrading and economic development.

Certificates are presented on-site to the 30 winners, and together with the winners, the 2026 Zhongguancun U30 recruitment and selection work is officially launched. The discovery and empowerment of a new round of youthful innovation forces is formally underway.

The 2026 Zhongguancun U30 will continue to focus on high-end, precision-focused, and cutting-edge industrial layouts, closely aligning with the development needs of new quality productive forces. It will primarily target young people under 35 who innovate and start businesses, and will, across seven major fields including future industries, strategic emerging industries, and the digital economy, select young “wall breakers” who demonstrate outstanding innovation ability, strong hard-core technological strength, and a breakthrough spirit.

To help selected participants grow quickly, the platform will provide multi-dimensional, end-to-end empowerment support, including promotion of Beijing subway and bus advertising resources, customized entrepreneurship training by leading investment institutions, and targeted recommendations from communities of outstanding young entrepreneurs. At the same time, it will preferentially recommend selected participants to join high-quality platforms such as the Beijing Youth Federation and the Haidian District Youth Federation, providing full-course support for young entrepreneurs’ growth and success.

The Zhongguancun U30 event was initiated in 2015 in Haidian. It is jointly organized by the China Association for Science and Technology’s Science & Technology Communication Center, the Beijing Municipal Talent Work Bureau, the Communist Youth League Beijing Municipal Committee, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Zhongguancun Science Park Management Committee, and the People’s Government of Haidian District.
