People Finance News, 31 March—According to the National Healthcare Security Administration, on 20 March and 23 March, Li Tao, a Party group member and deputy director of the National Healthcare Security Administration, met in Beijing with representatives of Eli Lilly, Organon, Medtronic, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, the US Coalition and other multinational pharmaceutical enterprises and industry associations, respectively. The parties discussed in depth issues including improving the multi-tier healthcare security system during the “15th Five-Year Plan”, building a real-world research system, and optimizing value assessment for innovative drugs. Li Tao said that the National Healthcare Security Administration will resolutely implement China’s new requirements for opening up to the outside world, continuously enhance the level of opening up, build a cooperation platform, and welcome all parties to participate deeply in the reform and development of healthcare security. Foreign representatives said they would actively align with reform needs and strengthen cooperation in areas such as innovative R&D and optimizing multi-tier security mechanisms. This meeting further smoothed communication channels and laid a solid foundation for deepening cooperation.
