China News Service Zhuhai, March 17 (Deng Yuanwen, He Tianyang) The Hengqin Border Inspection Station of Zhuhai Customs announced on the 17th that the “Joint One-Stop” vehicle lane at Hengqin Port will celebrate its two-year anniversary of full operation on the 18th. According to statistics, as of the 17th, relying on the innovative model of “cooperative inspection and single clearance” pioneered nationwide, the station has continuously optimized customs clearance services and improved inspection efficiency, with a total of 6.37 million inbound and outbound vehicle inspections, an increase of 89% year-on-year. Among them, single-plate vehicles from Macau exceeded 4.2 million, accounting for 65.9% of the total traffic, making them the main cross-border vehicle flow between Qin and Ao.

It is understood that as the core customs clearance hub connecting Qin and Ao, the “Joint One-Stop” lane integrates resources from five inspection units in Guangdong and Macau, simplifying the original “two places, two inspections” procedures into a model of “one queue, centralized collection, coordinated release,” allowing one lane to inspect and release two vehicles simultaneously. The clearance time per vehicle has been reduced from 8 minutes to under 100 seconds, with the fastest taking only 50 seconds to complete inspection procedures in both places, making cross-border passage more efficient and convenient.

The daily vehicle flow at Hengqin Port has increased from 5,500 vehicles at the initial stage of operation to 12,000 vehicles this year, injecting strong momentum into the deep integration and development of Qin and Ao. During this period, the daily vehicle flow has broken the historical record 20 times, with the highest reaching 13,400 vehicles on February 11, 2026, fully releasing the cross-border traffic demand between Qin and Ao.

In addition, since the Hengqin Port personnel inspection and release hall was put into operation on April 9, 2024, it has inspected and released more than 3.92 million inbound and outbound personnel, forming an efficient complement to vehicle inspection, ensuring smooth flow of personnel elements between Qin and Ao in all aspects.

“Hengqin Border Inspection Station has continuously deepened the construction of smart ports in recent years, promoting the full activation of 64 cooperative intelligent fast channels, achieving ‘face recognition’ seamless clearance, turning the ‘half-hour living circle’ between Qin and Ao from a vision into reality,” said Huang Yiting, deputy team leader of the first duty team at Hengqin Border Inspection Station. The next step will be to further deepen cooperation with relevant units in Guangdong and Macau, accelerate the full deployment of intelligent vehicle inspection channels, continuously optimize inspection procedures, and improve service quality, providing solid border inspection support for promoting efficient flow of elements between Qin and Ao and building a new high-level platform for opening up to the outside world.
