The current rate is declining, and frankly, it worries me

I have been observing the EUR/GBP market since this morning, and I must say that the situation leaves me perplexed. The current rate is at 0.87030 GBP, down 0.13% today. It's not huge, but still annoying for those who were hoping for a rebound after last week.

Personally, I find that the pound has been surprisingly resilient lately. Despite all the political chaos in Britain that we all know, it is holding up against the euro. Strange, isn't it?

The pair has dropped by 0.48% this week, which is quite significant when looking at the recent history. Of course, over six months, we are still up by 3.14%, but I wonder how long this will last with the current turbulence.

These technical indicators that leave me doubtful

Technical analyses show dominant buy signals (7 against 3 sell signals ), but I've learned to be wary of these indicators. Too often they have betrayed me! We're told "buy now", then the next day, everything crashes. The markets are manipulated, that's obvious.

If you want my honest opinion, I think this pair will continue to be volatile in the coming days. Official forecasts speak of a level of 0.87246 by the end of the quarter, but I don't really believe that. With the shutdown of the US government and geopolitical tensions, all markets are becoming unpredictable.

I lost quite a bit on this pair last year by following the "experts". Now I prefer to wait and observe how the ECB and the Bank of England will play their cards in the coming weeks.

The latest news indicates that the Euro has risen against the Pound for two consecutive days, but this recovery seems fragile to me. Better-than-expected UK economic data could still strengthen the pound sterling, and frankly, I wouldn't bet against that.

Bref, soyez prudents avec EUR/GBP. Les apparences sont trompeuses et ce marché pourrait nous réserver des surprises désagréables.
