Hong Kong expands web3 dedicated task force, with 20 industry leaders promoting the development of the digital asset hub.
On July 1, 【区块律动】 the Hong Kong SAR government announced on June 30 the appointment and reappointment of 20 unofficial members to the Task Force on the Development of the Third Generation Internet (Task Force), effective from July 1, 2025, for a term of two years. A spokesperson stated: "Since its establishment in 2023, the Task Force has provided valuable insights that are both innovative and pragmatic regarding Hong Kong's development potential and direction in the third generation internet. The appointed and reappointed unofficial members are all leaders and professionals in the relevant industries. With the government's recent release of the 'Hong Kong Digital Asset Development Policy Declaration 2.0', their expertise and experience will help drive the continuous flourishing of Hong Kong's digital asset ecosystem and establish Hong Kong as a global leading hub for digital assets."
The unofficial members of the task force starting from July 1, 2025, include Cai Wensheng, Chen Delin, Qiu Dagen, Zhu Chengyu, Kong Jianping, Guo Yanlin, Lin Huizhen, Lin Junjie, Lin Chen, Lü Zhihong, Ma Zhitao, Wu Jiezhang, Professor Pan Shizheng, Alessio Quaglini, Ge Peifan, Xiao Yi, Chen Wenli, Wang Jiachao, and Dr. Xiao Feng.
