L'Espagne démantèle un site de piratage de bandes dessinées, saisit un portefeuille froid crypté impliquant 400 000 euros

Mars Finance reports that, according to Cointelegraph, Spanish local police, in their crackdown on illegal comic distribution platforms, seized two cryptocurrency cold wallets containing assets worth approximately 400,000 euros (about 467,000 USD). The operation was carried out by the Almeria police in Spain, resulting in the arrest of three suspects and the dismantling of what is called the country’s largest Spanish-language pirated comic website. It is reported that the platform has been offering free pirated content since 2014, mainly profiting through advertising, with total revenue exceeding 4 million euros over the past decade. Notably, the involved cold wallets were hidden inside wall thermometers. The police have not yet disclosed whether they have obtained the relevant private keys or access to the funds.
