Local time on the 19th early morning, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran issued an emergency statement, announcing that it had launched a large-scale missile attack on oil and energy facilities related to the United States within the region.
This operation is a direct reciprocal response to the attack earlier on the 18th on Iran’s energy infrastructure.
The statement pointed out that this retaliatory action aims to strike at energy facilities “interested by the United States and holding U.S. shares.”
The statement emphasized that Iran originally did not wish to escalate the war into the energy sector, nor did it want to affect the economies of neighboring countries, but enemy provocations have led the war into a “new phase.”
The statement confirmed that Iran’s armed forces have carried out multiple rounds of strikes, ensuring that the losses suffered by the enemy are on the same level as the damage to Iran’s infrastructure.
The statement also warned that if the attacks continue, Iran will expand the scope of strikes to all energy infrastructure of U.S.-Israel allies, until they are “completely destroyed.”
