Gate Charity Launches Batik Art Blessing NFT to Empower the Local Communities of Air Batu Village
Gate Charity, the global non-profit philanthropic organization of Gate Group, partnered with Pusat Unggulan Ipteks (PUI) to host a batik art development event for the local communities of Air Batu Village. The initiative was part of Gate Charity’s commitment to exploring the potential of the Merangin Geoheritage area and promoting entrepreneurship and economic empowerment. Each piece of batik artwork was later minted onto the blockchain as an NFT.
Gate Charity has collaborated with Gate NFT, Gate.io’s NFT launchpad and marketplace, to convert the unique batik pieces created by individual members of the Air Batu Village local communities into an NFT collection named “Gate Charity Batik Art Blessing NFT”. All proceeds from the sale of the NFTs will go to supporting the local communities of Air Batu Village and to expanding the impact of this collaboration to more women and local communities.
The Batik Art Blessing NFT will feature 19 batik art designs created by members of the local communities of Air Batu Village, and will be used to create a total of 100 NFTs. Users can purchase these NFTs on Gate.io for 10 USDT each. All proceeds from the sale of the NFTs will go to Pusat Unggulan Ipteks (PUI) Geowisata Merangin, Universitas Jambi to support the empowerment of the local communities of Air Batu.
