Odaily Planet Daily Report: According to Iran’s Mehr News Agency on the 25th, Iranian Islamic Parliament member Behnam Saeedi stated that Iran has developed a comprehensive plan for managing the Strait of Hormuz. Saeedi said in an interview with Mehr News Agency that an important aspect of this plan is that only the name “Persian Gulf” is recognized in all correspondence and commercial documents, and no other names are accepted. Ships and vessels navigating in the area must obtain permission from Iran. Sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz will be fully controlled by Iran. He also said that ships deemed hostile by the Supreme National Security Council or the General Staff of the Armed Forces are not allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, and Israeli ships are strictly prohibited from passing through the area. Ships passing through this area are required to pay relevant fees for safety, environmental protection, shipping management, and permit issuance, with priority payments in riyals.
