Trump stated on Truth Social: “Just now, following my instructions, U.S. Central Command carried out one of the largest and most powerful airstrikes in Middle Eastern history, completely destroying all military targets on Halek Island, the jewel of Iran. Our weapons are the most powerful and advanced in the world’s history. But out of moral considerations, I chose not to destroy the oil infrastructure on the island. However, if Iran or any other force dares to interfere with the free and safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, I will reconsider this decision immediately. During my first term, and continuing now, I have rebuilt our military into the most lethal, strongest, and most combat-ready force in history. Iran is completely incapable of defending any target we wish to strike — they are helpless against us! Iran will never possess nuclear weapons, nor will they ever have the capability to threaten the United States, the Middle East, or the entire world! The wisest course of action for Iran’s military and all forces associated with this terrorist regime is to lay down their weapons and save what little remains of their country!”
