China Youth Daily Client News (China Youth Daily · China Youth Network reporter Yin Xining) On March 25, during the opening ceremony of the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference, the “Beijing (Jing-Jin-Ji) International Science and Technology Innovation Center Support Policy” was intensively released.

Located across the street from the main venue of the opening ceremony, the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone Exhibition Center featured the Jing-Jin-Ji Coordinated Development Exhibition Area as part of its permanent exhibition.

Reporters from the Beijing Development and Reform Commission learned that several exhibits integrated technological innovation elements from the three regions of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, showcasing the “petals of the same heart” in collaborative innovation and industrial cooperation. For example, the SPECT/PET/CT integrated machine exhibited in the area was jointly developed by Hebei Ruishi Xinhao, Tsinghua University, and Tianjin Tumor Hospital. It is a transformation result of a national major scientific research instrument development project, with 100% core components being independently controllable. It completes precise whole-body quantitative imaging within 10 minutes per scan, and its dynamic imaging capability supports millisecond-level 4D imaging.

Currently, the driving force of high-quality development in Jing-Jin-Ji is continually consolidating, with the regional economic total expected to reach nearly 12 trillion yuan by 2025. The Central Economic Work Conference held at the end of 2025 clearly proposed to expand the Beijing International Science and Technology Innovation Center to the Jing-Jin-Ji region.

In Beijing, the Beijing Zoo wholesale market has transformed into a national-level financial technology demonstration zone, releasing development space through deregulation. In Xiong’an New Area, headquarters of three central enterprises—China Star Net, Sinopec, and China Huaneng—have moved in, and the first batch of four relocated universities has entered a large-scale construction phase, gradually forming a complete innovative ecological chain in the aerospace information industry from technological research and development, achievement transformation, scenario application to industrial landing.

In January this year, the spatial coordination plan for the modern capital urban circle was approved, marking the first urban circle plan approved by the Central Committee of the Communist Party and the State Council. The three regions of Jing-Jin-Ji will accelerate the high-quality construction and development of commuting circles, functional circles, and industrial coordination circles.

Jing-Jin-Ji will jointly build a smart connected new energy vehicle technology ecological port, establishing a parts supporting park in Shunyi, Wuqing, and Langfang, with a total of 47 signed projects.

At the same time, the “Double City Tale” of Jing-Jin is accelerating development, actively cultivating the innovation triangle of the Jing-Jin-Xiong region. The Tianjin Binhai-Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park, Jing-Jin Zhongguancun Science and Technology City, and Xiong’an New Area Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park have cumulatively attracted over 6,600, more than 2,000, and 268 enterprises, respectively.

This month, a national-level “patience capital” with a total scale of 50 billion yuan has deeply penetrated the innovation hinterland of the Jing-Jin-Ji region, promoting the precise allocation of capital elements to fields such as integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, and quantum technology, supporting original and disruptive technological innovation and tackling core key technologies, optimizing the regional science and technology innovation ecology, and forming a virtuous development pattern of “capital empowerment, technological breakthroughs, industrial agglomeration, and ecological co-prosperity.”

Standing at a new starting point, the three regions of Jing-Jin-Ji will seize the opportunity of expanding the Beijing (Jing-Jin-Ji) International Science and Technology Innovation Center, strengthening collaborative innovation and industrial cooperation, and making new and greater contributions to building a pioneering and demonstration area for China’s modernization.
