The spokesperson emphasized that the nature of recent negotiations has undergone a fundamental change, and the core issue is no longer the nuclear question, but the complete end of the war.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that Kalibov has practical combat experience from the Iran-Iraq War and a very rich resume in multiple fields.
As the speaker, he can effectively coordinate domestic forces and is trusted by all political factions.
Kalibov partners with Araghchi, who also has a war background; Iran believes this is an efficient diplomatic team capable of overseeing the overall situation.
The spokesperson clearly pointed out that the nuclear issue is no longer the main focus; the current negotiation priority is a complete ceasefire, with the primary task of safeguarding the country’s core interests.
Shortly after this statement was issued, Israeli sources reported that due to intervention by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Kalibov had resigned from the Iranian negotiation team. (CCTV)
