A few days ago, I nervously removed the stop-loss. Looking back today, it seems I gave this short trade a chance to survive. During the intraday plunge, $LAB struggled to rebound, with clear resistance overhead, so I opened a short around 0.08529. When I opened the chart this morning, the current price was already at 0.06699, with unrealized profit of +422.47%. The wait paid off, and I managed to get the timing right. I’ve pocketed the bulk first, closing 80% and moving the remaining 20% to breakeven protection. If it keeps dropping, let the profits run; if it rebounds, don’t give back the gains already in hand. Don’t let profits inflate your ego, and don’t despair over a drawdown. Managing risk in advance is rational; cutting after taking a loss is a heroic amputation.
