$XRP around $1 is actually an interesting snapshot of what I’m seeing in the altcoin market right now. Price is sitting near $1.0067, down about 1.43%, and the 2H chart shows something pretty clear: the strong bounce from the $0.9908 low didn’t turn into a clean trend reversal. What caught my attention is the compression around the $1 area. XRP pushed back toward $1.02, but buyers couldn’t hold above it. The short-term moving averages are also starting to roll over again — MA5 around $1.011, MA10 near $1.0086 and MA30 around $1.0128. So right now price is basically stuck underneath a cluster of resistance rather than showing real upside momentum. That matters because $XRP is one of those large-cap alts traders often watch when they’re trying to judge whether broader altcoin interest is actually coming back. The interesting part is that the market has already shown buyers around $1. There was a sharp rejection below it earlier, with the chart printing around $0.9908, followed by a recovery. So I wouldn’t completely ignore the demand sitting underneath this level. But I also wouldn’t call this bullish yet. Volume has cooled considerably after the earlier move, and the MACD is basically flat around the zero line. To me, that says momentum has stalled rather than flipped decisively bullish. For me, the levels are pretty simple: Support: $1.0000–$0.9908 Resistance: $1.019–$1.025 Next area above: around $1.036 If XRP can reclaim the $1.02–$1.025 area with stronger volume, that would give the altcoin narrative a little more credibility. It would show buyers are willing to chase higher instead of just defending the psychological $1 level. On the other hand, losing $1 and especially revisiting $0.9908 would tell me the recent bounce was more of a relief move than the beginning of a new trend. That’s the bigger thing I’m watching across alts: are buyers actually pushing through resistance, or are they only buying dips and selling into the first bounce? Right now, XRP looks more like a market in that decision zone. I’d rather wait for the chart to show which side is actually winning than force a bullish or bearish story onto it.
