People’s Finance News, April 2: According to a report today (the 2nd) from a press conference on the logistics standardization topic organized by the State Administration for Market Regulation, logistics connects production and consumption, and domestic trade and foreign trade; it is a fundamental, strategic, and leading industry that supports the development of the national economy. During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, China has cumulatively issued 210 national standards in the logistics sector, and has made breakthroughs in multiple aspects. First, standards for logistics pallets and turnover boxes have been centrally updated and upgraded. The release of 13 standards, including flat pallets, skate pallets, and produce turnover boxes, ensures that national standards are consistent with international standards, and that sub-product standards and general methodology standards work in tandem. Second, national standards for multimodal transport are being accelerated to fill existing gaps. A total of 16 national standards have been successively developed and released, including multimodal transport cargo classification codes, transport volume calculations, and multimodal transport vehicles and waybills, to improve the level of integrated connections in multimodal transport. In addition, the development of mandatory logistics standards has been steadily strengthened. This has driven the formulation of 20 mandatory national standards, such as green packaging for express delivery, limits on fuel consumption for commercial vehicles, and the transport of dangerous goods, which strongly promotes technological innovation and enhances logistics safety emergency response capabilities.
