March 31, the market opened strong but then pulled back. All four major indices turned green. The ChiNext Index fell by more than 2%, while the Shenzhen Component Index and the STAR 50 Index both fell by more than 1%. By the midday close, the SSE Index fell 0.38%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell 1.45%, the ChiNext Index fell 2.36%, and the STAR Market Composite Index dropped 1.88%.

The high-speed rail track and related infrastructure sector rose sharply against the trend. Multiple stocks such as Jinying Heavy Industry, China Railway High-speed, and Jinxi Vehicle Axle hit the daily limit.

Auto OEM shares surged, with Yutong Bus hitting the daily limit.

The banking sector was active against the trend. China Banking, Agricultural Bank rose by more than 3%.

On the downside, computing hardware stocks such as CPO and PCB adjusted. Deko Li and Dahua Numerical Control fell by more than 10%.

The coal sector declined. Zhengzhou Coal and Yunmei Energy fell by more than 7%.
