Combined with previous tenders paused due to project changes, it indicates that shortages of fiber optic cables are quite common.

Guosheng Securities believes that with the rising demand for drones and AIDC fiber, high-specification fiber capacity is tight. Under the supply-demand imbalance, customers are less sensitive to prices, driving this steep price increase. Meanwhile, leading manufacturers prioritize switching limited capacity to produce high-value-added fibers, causing capacity squeeze for ordinary fibers (G.652.D) used in traditional broadband and other fields. Additionally, with various agents emerging, token usage is rapidly expanding, which is expected to further boost traditional telecom traffic demand, thereby driving demand and prices for traditional fiber optic cables.
