#DeFi生态发展 🤔 Just saw a case of UNI burn arbitrage, I'm totally confused...Someone destroyed 4000 UNI and made $14,500? How is that even possible?
I spent half an hour finally understanding—apparently after Uniswap canceled frontend fees, the contract design created a price spread opportunity. The asset package received from burning tokens (USDC, USDT, WETH, WBTC) is actually worth more...This feels like finding a bargain? 😅
But after reading the comments section, I realized this arbitrage actually has pretty high barriers—you need to write code to execute it yourself, plus factor in gas costs and failure risks. One wrong move and you lose money. For us complete beginners, even though we can understand the logic, actually participating is basically impossible...
It seems to reflect a problem in the DeFi ecosystem: opportunities exist, but there's a huge gap between the barrier to entry and newcomers. Though at least I learned something—token burn mechanisms are this complex and can be played this way 😂 Can any experts explain how often these kinds of opportunities come up? Can we just copy the strategy in the future?
