Jensen Huang afirma: O próximo grande obstáculo da IA é a eletricidade; pequenos reatores nucleares podem tornar-se padrão dentro de dez anos.

【BlockBeats】Jensen Huang has recently put forward another weighty opinion—the next major obstacle for AI is not algorithms, nor chips, but “electricity”.

NVIDIA’s CEO Jensen Huang stated bluntly that, as AI systems run more and more intensely, the global electricity supply is being pushed to its limit. Those power-hungry monsters in data centres have already started to strain the power grids in many regions. His judgement is clear: energy will be the next global bottleneck holding back AI development.

Even more striking is his proposed solution—in the next decade, small nuclear reactors may become the standard power source for AI compute centres. Does it sound a bit like science fiction? But if you think about it, the traditional power grid really can’t withstand this wave of computational demand. Nuclear energy, which was once a backup option, may truly become a necessity.

For the crypto space, this isn’t far-fetched either. Mining, AI training, Web3 infrastructure... which of these isn’t a power guzzler? Once the energy revolution kicks off, the entire industry’s cost structure will need to be reshuffled.
