According to Gate News bot, the Seoul Economic Daily reported that South Korea's IBK Industrial Bank and Shinhan Financial Group have filed trademark applications for the Korean won stablecoin.
IBK Enterprise Bank applied for ten trademarks including "IBKKRW", "IBKRW", and "ONEIBK" on the 27th, covering stablecoin electronic transfer services and blockchain-based digital asset management services.
Shinhan Financial Holdings submitted 21 trademark applications related to stablecoins, including "KRWSHB", "SFGKRW", and "SHKRW" on the 26th. The application scope includes cryptocurrency financial trading services and cryptocurrency intermediary services.
