Samsung and SK Group to Announce 1.3 Trillion Dollar Investment Plan
The announcement will be made at the South Korean presidential office on Monday at 2:00 PM local time. Samsung Electronics Executive Chairman Lee Jae-yong and SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won will each personally present their respective investment plans to President Lee Jae-myung. According to reports, the plans include: Samsung: Construction of 4 to 5 new semiconductor wafer fabs in the Gwangju area and a chip packaging factory in South Chungcheong Province. SK Hynix: Construction of 4 to 5 new semiconductor wafer fabs in Gwangju and expansion of its NAND factory in North Chungcheong Province.
