do you really need to cut off frens and family in order to “lock in”?
your brain constantly reiterating the need for you to lock in can either be detrimental long term or it might just be your ticket out of permanent underclass if you don't half ass it -- although i'd say luck / being fortunate is plays a huge role since everyone is chasing the same goal and it's impossible for everyone to win but when you stop, take a breather and really think about it, focusing on the grind doesn't necessarily equate cutting off family and frens -- you can be locked in and still spend time with your loved ones without a hitch it's all an elaborate scam to give yourself a sense of satisfaction that you're really putting in the work even though you're not or you might be afraid of being criticised for incompetence by your inner self or other people which leads to your overworking and is counter productive in the long run i think we're at an inflection point where life is currently not being lived to the fullest by a lot of people bc of many hours put into work and the incessant need to make a living bc of the global economy going downhill over the past years but despite our individual dreams and the effort we put in to achieve them, not everyone's gonna make it unfortunately putting it in a nutshell, it's essential to spend quality time with people you love, and have a balanced view of work and having fun
