Step 1: Go to the Gate Web3 Page
Click on “Web3” above the menu bar on the homepage of the Gate official website.
Step 2: Create or Import A Wallet
After entering the Gate Web3 homepage, click on “Connect Wallet”.
If you have installed the Gate Web3 Wallet Chrome Extension, you can directly click on “Connect Wallet” in the pop-up window of the page; If you have not installed the Gate Web3 Wallet Chrome Extension, you can click on “Other” above the pop-up window to connect.
Step 3: Deposit in Wallet
Click to enter the “Wallet Center” page, click the “Receive” button, and in the pop-up window, select the token you want to deposit and the network to which the token belongs.
Copy the address to receive the token. Open the website or wallet page where you want to send tokens, fill in the corresponding column with the copied receiving address, or directly scan the QR code for transfer.
Step 4: Purchase
You can use the “Trade” or “Swap” functions to purchase tokens.
If you need a quick swap between single-chain assets, you can choose the “Trade“ function.
At the menu bar, click on “Trade” at the top of the Gate Web3 homepage to enter the page.
You can search for tokens through the search bar on the left side of the page, directly select tokens in the display bar, or select tokens by clicking on the “▽” button in the trading bar on the right side of the page.
Click on “Pool Information” in the transaction bar to view the depth, liquidity, and other information in the liquidity pool that supports the selected trading pair.
Below the transaction bar, you can view the slippage tolerance of the selected trading pair (click on the symbol after “Auto Slippage 0.5%” to set the slippage), the tokens that can be received at least for one transaction, Gate Web3 as the best-planned token trading routing for you, and the network fees for one transaction.
If you need transactions between cross-chain assets, you can choose the “Swap“ function.
Click on the menu bar “Swap” at the top of the Gate Web3 homepage to enter the page.
In the Swap column on the left side of the page, you can freely select the “Single Chain Swap”, “Cross Chain Swap”, and “Cross Chain” functions for operation. Click on the “Clock” icon in the upper right corner of the Swap column to view your swap history; Click on the “Settings” icon to set the slippage.
About Cross Chain Swap
Click on “Cross Chain Swap” in the Swap column, as shown in the following image. First, select the token network and token you want to swap, fill in the quantity you want to swap, select which network and token you want to swap for, and finally click the “Swap” button.
About Single Chain Swap & Cross Chain
If you need to swap different tokens on the same chain, you can directly click on the “Single Chain Swap” function. Select a certain network, fill in the swap quantity, and click the “Swap” button.
If you need to swap the same token on different chains, you can directly click on the “Cross Chain” function, select the two different networks and tokens you need to swap, fill in the quantity of tokens, and finally click the “Swap” button.
