Grupo de lobby de criptomoedas pede ao Congresso dos EUA que aprove diretamente a lei de impostos sobre mineração e staking, sem necessidade de alterações adicionais

Gold Finance reports that on June 23, according to Cointelegraph, the three major lobbying organizations for cryptocurrencies—the Blockchain Association, the Crypto Innovation Committee, and the Digital Chamber of Commerce—jointly sent a letter to the U.S. Congress, requesting that the "Mining and Staking Tax Clarity Act" be passed intact without further amendments.
The bill allows miners and stakers to choose whether to pay taxes upon receiving crypto rewards or upon selling assets, aiming to address liquidity issues caused by "false income taxation."
Democratic Congressman Steven Horsford proposed an amendment to defer crypto reward taxes for five years, but the CEO of the Crypto Innovation Committee stated that this amendment would "destroy" the bill and would only generate "insignificant revenue."
The American Bankers Association opposes the bill, claiming it grants cryptocurrencies a "significant advantage," while crypto lobbying groups believe that renegotiating a consensus agreement will "resurrect the issues the bill aims to solve."
