Local time Wednesday (15th), U.S. President Trump stated that he believes the war with Iran is "coming to an end" and hinted that negotiations with Iran will resume this week.

On that day, Trump provided a potential timetable for reaching an agreement with Iran during an interview. According to CCTV News, he said the U.S. is "very likely" to reach an agreement with Iran before King Charles III visits the U.S. in late April.

During the interview, Trump said the likelihood of reaching an agreement now is "very high." According to the schedule, Charles III and Queen Camilla will visit the U.S. from April 27 to 30.

When asked whether it is possible to reach an agreement before Charles III's visit to the White House on April 27, Trump said: "They (Iran) have been hit hard. That’s very likely." He also claimed that after the failed negotiations between the U.S. and Iran last weekend in Pakistan, Iran is "very eager to reach an agreement."

Meanwhile, Trump defended the purpose of initiating this war, saying, "If I don’t do that, Iran will have nuclear weapons. If they have nuclear weapons, you have to call everyone there ‘sir,’ and you don’t want to do that."

According to reports, U.S. and Iranian negotiators made progress in the latest round of talks and are gradually approaching a framework agreement to end the conflict. It is reported that, with mediation from countries like Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey, both sides are trying to bridge differences and reach an agreement before the ceasefire agreement expires.

The U.S. President Trump’s negotiation team is continuing to push forward through phone calls and exchange of draft agreements. U.S. officials said that a new round of face-to-face talks may be held in the coming days, but the specific time has not yet been determined.
