BTC just closed a weekly candle above its 50-week moving average for the first time in 45 weeks, according to Galaxy’s Alex Thorn.
Historically, reclaiming the 50-week MA has often occurred around major Bitcoin market-cycle turning points and has been an important level during previous bear markets.
However, history is not a guarantee. Bitcoin has previously reclaimed this level and later moved lower, so confirmation still matters.
For now, the reclaim puts the 50-week MA back in focus as a key level for the broader market structure.
