The most interesting part of decentralization is not distribution.

It's participation.
BitTorrent showed that a network could grow stronger as users contributed more value to it.
No single point of control.
No dependency on one coordinator.
Just a collective effort producing a stronger system.
Those lessons remain highly relevant today.
