1. When someone asks you to do something, agree if you can, refuse if you cannot. (Don’t hesitate or be indecisive, be straightforward and decisive.)
2. When someone shows you a photo, do not casually flip to the next one without permission. (Flipping to the next photo without permission is very impolite.)
3. When you help others, and they thank you, accept graciously. (This way, neither party will feel embarrassed.)
4. Believe in fate, cherish it when it comes, and let it go when it leaves. (Fate is predestined; what is yours will not leave, what is not yours cannot be kept.)
5. Before a matter is settled, do not tell anyone. (Stay low-key to avoid others mocking or laughing at you.)
6. Only pain can make people change; gentle persuasion alone does not. (People won’t learn just by being told; things are learned after experiencing them once.)
7. Be not too honest with your parents; don’t tell them everything. (Like a big sieve, they can’t keep their mouth shut, and they’ll tell small things outside.)
8. Don’t think of others too highly, nor too badly. (Just focus on being yourself; mind your own business regarding others.)
9. If words don’t match, don’t say much; don’t force yourself to connect with those you can’t get along with. (Different paths, no common goals; if you can’t fit into a circle, just leave.)
10. Do not share your joy of success with anyone. (Many people hope you do well, but no one wishes you to do better than them.)
