OPPO's Mother's Day marketing campaign backfired, originally telling the story of a fangirl’s emotional needs, but was pointed out by everyone as promoting extramarital affairs.

The controversial content was: My mom has two "husbands," one is my dad, and the other she sees twice a year. She hardly dresses up when dating my dad, but with the other, she’s eager to wear a wedding dress.
Some netizens believed that the values in the campaign were inappropriate; others said the content was just a "joke."
Now OPPO has apologized and withdrawn the campaign. But in a highly gender-sensitive and heated public opinion environment, the company's actions did not quell the controversy.
Previously, a fangirl coincidentally met her idol Jackson Wang on her wedding day, joking that Jackson Wang was her real husband, which sparked discussions across the internet, and even a bride requested her groom to wear a poster and mask of her idol for the wedding photos.
Of course, fans think there's nothing wrong with calling their idol "husband," but the problem is that OPPO's marketing target audience is completely unrelated to fan circles...
