Recently, people have been talking about "modularization," and honestly, for us end-users, it boils down to two things: one is that other chains act as "outsourcing teams," sometimes transferring/interaction becomes cheaper and faster; the second is that the path becomes more complicated, you just want to click once, but end up crossing two layers, changing bridges, and signing a bunch of transactions, saving Gas but feeling exhausted...

There’s also the matter of staking and sharing security with the "yield stacking" system, now being criticized as a nested trap, I can understand. Who is responsible for security, who is responsible if something goes wrong, ordinary people don’t have the energy to chase the responsibility chain. Anyway, I now just prefer to stick with native solutions instead of fancy tricks, and if Gas is high, I just see it as weight loss and avoid reckless actions. For now, I’ll test the common cross-chain routes again and make a little notebook for reference.
