After entry, the price did not move straight up. It went through a period of narrow-range consolidation, with much of the unrealized profit fluctuating back and forth. It would be impossible to say my mindset was completely unaffected, but as long as the stop-loss was not triggered and the trend structure remained intact, I was willing to continue holding. After the price rose today, I first closed part of the position, locking in the floating profit as realized gains. I moved the protection level for the remaining position above the entry price, so no matter how the trade fluctuates from here, it cannot turn from profitable into a loss.
