An inventory system shouldn't only know how many products exist.
It should know what condition those products are in.
Imagine a supermarket has 100 bottles of juice.
A basic system might simply say:
📦 Stock: 100 bottles
But what if:
• 70 bottles are good
• 10 are damaged
• 20 are close to their expiry date
Technically, there are still 100 bottles.
But the business doesn't really have 100 bottles of usable stock.
