At this point, the biggest thing to avoid when shorting is greedily chasing the final acceleration. The price tried to break through several times earlier but failed to hold, with consecutive long upper wicks on the candlesticks. Once the false-breakout structure appeared, my plan was to wait for a rebound and short.
When it reached 50.34, the rebound momentum had clearly weakened, so I entered a short position directly. This was both a previous chip concentration zone and a resistance level after the failed breakout. The stop-loss for the short was small, and the logic was clear.
