just saw that New York is coming after Coinbase and Gemini over their prediction market stuff. honestly didn't realize these platforms were offering that kind of service in the first place, but apparently regulators are not happy about it. the whole prediction market space has been kind of messy from a regulatory standpoint anyway. makes you wonder how many other exchanges are operating in gray areas without getting called out yet. either way, this is probably going to set a precedent for how prediction markets get regulated going forward. curious to see how this plays out
