Mars Finance information, the chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Michael Selig, is working to limit state enforcement interventions against prediction markets to prevent state-level regulatory measures from hindering industry development. Michael Selig has been attempting since his appointment a few months ago to create a more relaxed federal regulatory environment for prediction markets, allowing more U.S. users to participate in trading sports events and other outcome-based events. Selig has continuously supported prediction market platforms over the past year — in February, he warned of lawsuits against state governments attempting to interfere with regulation; in March, he issued compliance guidelines and publicly solicited industry opinions; and this month, he stated that if prediction markets are pushed offshore, it could lead to a collapse similar to FTX.
