retail investor reduces holdings in major US tech stocks

Gate News bot news, according to Vanda Research data, in recent weeks retail investors have reduced their purchases of the "Big Seven" U.S. stocks and other tech giants. By mid-June, the proportion of retail investor purchases in total inflows had decreased from about 41% during the market turmoil in early April to around 23%. This year, broader investors have invested less money in the tech zone compared to other sectors of the market.

According to data from Morningstar Direct, the net inflow of funds into the technology exchange-traded fund (ETF) has been $7.1 billion year-to-date in 2025, which includes flows from both retail investors and institutional funds.

Meanwhile, funds focusing on a buy-the-dip strategy saw an inflow of approximately $25 billion.
