BlockBeats News, on August 30th, according to The Block, Gnosis community members are reconsidering the choice of Gas Jeton on the chain. The reason is that MakerDAO recently rebranded as Sky and launched a new Stable Coin Sky Dollar (USDS). Gnosis operates a Sidechain that currently uses a bridge version of DAI called xDAI for Gas fees on the Payment Network. MakerDAO is the issuer of DAI, which is a Stable Coin supported by encrypted assets. As part of MakerDAO's "endgame" plan, DAI holders will be able to upgrade their Jeton to USDS at a 1:1 ratio, while also having the opportunity to receive native Jeton rewards. The new USDS Stable Coin may introduce more centralized features, including the ability to "freeze" wallet addresses and restrict access from users in the UK and the US. These changes have raised concerns among Gnosis chain users about the reliability of USDS in terms of transaction costs coverage.
