After studying the protocol, I believe its real innovation is authorization. Smart contracts are great at execution, yet they rarely decide whether an action should be allowed in the first place.
As AI agents become more active onchain, programmable permissions, spending limits, and verifiable policies could become just as important as automation itself.
The challenge is adoption. More security often means more complexity.
If Newton Protocol gets this balance right, it may influence how future blockchain applications are designed—not just how AI agents operate.
