Gold Financial reports that on May 6th, U.S. President Trump issued a statement saying that, based on requests from Pakistan and other countries, and given the significant military victories we have achieved in the fight against Iran, as well as substantial progress made in the comprehensive final agreement reached with Iran’s representatives, both sides have agreed that while the blockade measures will remain in effect, the “Freedom Plan” (i.e., the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz) will be temporarily suspended to observe whether the agreement can ultimately be reached and signed.
