CoinWorld News, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has scheduled a Clarity Act roundtable for May, where SEC and CFTC officials will jointly discuss the structure and jurisdiction of the digital asset market with representatives from the crypto industry. This is the final regulatory step before the Senate Banking Committee's legislative review expected on May 11. The roundtable follows the classification law jointly issued by the SEC and CFTC on March 17, which designated 16 types of digital assets as commodities and provided a framework for converting the Clarity Act into permanent federal law.
