Gold Finance reports that on April 22, U.S. President Trump nominated Christopher Feren to serve as Chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers on the 21st, filling the vacancy left by the previous chairman, Stephen Miran, who will assume the role of Federal Reserve Board member in 2025. This nomination has been submitted to the U.S. Senate for approval. Feren graduated from Duke University and the University of Chicago, holding a Ph.D. in Economics. He previously served as a senior economist at the Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank and is currently a professor of economics at the University of Minnesota, specializing in macroeconomic theory, incentive mechanisms, and inequality game theory.
