This wave of decline has only two words: liquidity
Mentougou, miners selling off, Federal Reserve... those are all triggers.
What truly makes the market unable to bear it is liquidity exhaustion.
On-chain liquidity
The BTC reserves on exchanges have fallen to a near five-year low.
What does that mean? People wanting to sell can't sell, people wanting to buy dare not buy.
Once there is "must sell" capital (such as margin liquidations, market makers withdrawing orders), the market has no depth to absorb it.
📉Order book liquidity
In the futures market, buy order depth is more than 40% less than normal conditions.
In extreme conditions, $10 million can push the price down by 2%. This is not panic, but structural fragility.
Capital liquidity
The total market cap of stablecoins stagnates, USDT off-exchange premium turns negative.
Without new money coming in, only existing holdings are at play.
Every buy corresponds to a sell, but sellers are more anxious—so the price will only seek liquidity downward.
The most dangerous thing is not a big drop
But a liquidity spiral: decline → trigger stop-loss → further decline → market makers reduce positions → liquidity worsens → continue falling.
At this stage, fundamental analysis becomes ineffective; only who still has cash matters.
The current response has only three points:
· Don't place stop-loss orders (they will be swept)
· Don't try to catch the knife (buy order depth is insufficient)
· Unless you have plenty of cash outside, the best move is to do nothing
Liquidity recovery won't come back quickly. Wait until buy orders thicken again, until funding rates stop flipping negative, until stablecoins start flowing into exchanges—then talk about bottom fishing.
