Golden Finance reports that on April 28th, local time April 27th, the Trump administration dissolved the U.S. National Science Board, dismissing over 20 members all at once. The board was established in 1950, responsible for guiding the operation of the U.S. National Science Foundation and providing advice on science and engineering policy to the President and Congress. Board members typically serve six-year terms, mostly coming from academia, research institutions, and industry. Two dismissed members stated that the relevant decision took effect on the 24th of this month, but no specific reasons were given.
