Pangyo is a planned city located between Seoul and Bundang-gu. It is famous for its industrial complex called the Pangyo Techo Valley and is therefore known as the Sillicon Valley of Korea. Thanks to the vote carried out on Facebook, the third Gate Offline Meetup saw its chance to take place in this vigorous city.
In this meetup, Gate was honored to introduce Mr. Chao DU, the Director of Operations from Bytom (BTM), to be our speaker. Mr. Du gave a speech on topics including the technological advances of Gate, how Bytom survived the bearish market, the relations between Litecoin and International settlements, and the relation between the hash algorithm and the mining industry.
The weather was unpleasant but it did not discourage our guests from joining this exciting event. Guests were beyond enthusiastic to participate in discussions and to share their opinions with the speaker, regarding the current cryptocurrency regulations in Korea and the technological strengths of Pangyo city. In order to enable more guests to join our event, Gate and Bytom broadcasted the event live on Facebook and YouTube, online participants can also join in the discussions. The meetup ended with a Bytom special designed airdrop program and the give-out of Gate custom made gifts.
We sincerely thank you for your continued support to Gate Blockchain Tour. We also appreciate Bytom’s support and we look forward to more partnership with other blockchain projects in the future Korea offline meetups. We hope to see you soon in the April meetup.
