How should ETH be traded now?
This rebound just pushed prices higher and looks fairly strong, but the overhead resistance is clearly there. My approach has always been to focus on shorting rallies. Put simply, the market is currently grinding back and forth within a range; whichever side sees a volume breakout will determine the real direction.
The first major resistance is around 2490. If funds aggressively push the price up and it breaks through on heavy volume, the next level to watch is 2520. Consider opening a small short position at 2520; if it continues higher toward 2560, add directly.

$BTC OI has been flushed pretty hard since Aug 21.
Funding hasn’t.
That’s an odd combination.
You’d normally expect funding to reset alongside leverage after a move like this.
Instead, the remaining positioning is still skewed toward longs.
Which means the market has less leverage overall, but the leverage that remains is still paying to stay long.
That’s a pretty clean setup for another squeeze if OI starts coming back before funding normalizes.
And if $BTC loses the nearby liquidation clusters while dominance is weakening, the downside gets even more reflexive.
