Officers arrived and found a woman unconscious on the ground with head injuries. She was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital by ambulance and was pronounced dead at 11:22 PM.
The case was reclassified from "fighting in a public place" to "murder" and is being handled by the Western District Regional Crime Unit.
Sources say that after an investigation, police arrested a 50-year-old woman in Aberdeen. The arrested woman is currently being detained for questioning.
