Standard Chartered Bank apuesta a que Aave alcanzará los 3,500 dólares en 2030! Predice que la explosión de RWA impulsará un aumento de 50 veces

Standard Chartered Bank (Banco Standard Chartered) director of digital asset research Geoff Kendrick has released his first research report on the decentralized finance (DeFi) lending leader Aave, setting a target price of up to $3,500 by the end of 2030, representing a potential increase of nearly 50 times. The report indicates that Aave has recovered from the hacker incident in April and will greatly benefit in the future from the explosive growth of RWA tokenized assets and institutional capital inflows.

Decentralized finance (DeFi) lending leader Aave has recently demonstrated strong market resilience and has received rare endorsements from traditional financial giants. According to a report by CoinDesk on the 24th, Geoff Kendrick, head of digital asset research at Standard Chartered Bank, has published an in-depth report on Aave for the first time. The report boldly predicts that, with the full recovery of the DeFi market and the trend of real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, the AAVE token price could soar to $3,500 by the end of 2030.

Based on AAVE's current trading price of approximately $70 to $76, this implies an astonishing nearly 50-fold growth potential in the coming years. Kendrick even explicitly states in the report that Aave's future market performance is expected to surpass mainstream cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), becoming one of the most promising stocks in the next bull market.

Survived the hacker storm, firmly seated as the leader of "Blockchain Automation Banking"

Looking back at April this year, Aave faced a severe stress test. At that time, the rsETH bridge of KelpDAO was hacked, with attackers exploiting approximately $290 million in stolen funds to borrow real assets on the Aave platform as collateral. This incident temporarily exposed Aave to potential bad debt risks of up to $230 million and triggered a brief wave of depositors' withdrawals among the community.

However, Kendrick points out in the report that Aave has successfully weathered this crisis and the pain of market share loss. Currently, funds are rapidly flowing back into the platform, allowing it to maintain its absolute dominance in the on-chain lending market. He vividly compares Aave to an "automated, blockchain-based bank" that operates efficiently without any physical staff or manual decisions. Notably, at the market peak in October 2025, Aave's total deposits reached as high as $75 billion, which, if ranked within traditional financial systems, would place it among the top 30 banks in the United States.

RWA tokenization as the strongest catalyst, Horizon project draws attention

The main reason Standard Chartered Bank is extremely optimistic about Aave is the future potential of tokenized assets. Kendrick estimates that by 2030, the value of tokenized assets active in DeFi applications will experience explosive growth of 37 times. Since Aave's revenue model is highly correlated with lending activities and deposit volumes on the platform, this overall market expansion will directly translate into strong upward momentum for the AAVE token price.

Furthermore, the report highlights two key future catalysts for Aave. First is the possible reactivation of the AAVE token buyback program by the community, which would directly enhance the token's economic value; second is the highly anticipated "Horizon project." This initiative aims to support lending operations using tokenized real-world assets (RWA) in permissioned environments. This will significantly lower the compliance barriers for traditional financial institutions entering DeFi, further accelerating institutional capital adoption.

Although the overall cryptocurrency market has recently been weak, Standard Chartered Bank believes that the environment for crypto asset prices is continuously improving. As capital flows back into the DeFi sector, Aave, with its strong infrastructure and liquidity, will undoubtedly be one of the primary beneficiaries.
