Just now while organizing my notes, I found a problem: how do you quickly type the dollar sign, euro sign, and these on the keyboard? I looked it up and found out there are shortcut keys.

The easiest way to type the dollar sign is, on both Windows and Mac, just Shift+4. For the euro, on Mac use Shift+option+2, on Windows use Alt+E. The pound sign is Option+3 (Mac) or Alt+L (Windows). It feels quite practical, especially when you often need to record exchange rates or make forex notes.

Additionally, I just realized that the $ symbol is actually used in over 30 countries, not just for the US dollar. For example, Taiwan dollar is NT$, Canadian dollar is C$, Hong Kong dollar is HK$, and although they look the same, these symbols represent different currencies. Also, the ¥ symbol is easy to confuse; both the Japanese yen and Chinese renminbi use it, so sometimes they are written as JPY¥ or CNY¥ to distinguish.

The most interesting is the ฿ symbol, which in forex represents the Thai baht, but in cryptocurrency it is the symbol for Bitcoin, which are completely different. Have you ever encountered confusion like this?
