Offshift is an Ethereum-based platform for private synthetic assets. Its v2 iteration introduces zkAssets—fully private (anonymous and confidential) synthetic assets. Users deposit the native token XFT into a contract, record commitments in a Merkle tree, and use zero-knowledge proofs to withdraw or make shielded transfers, thereby holding or trading synthetics pegged to real-world assets without revealing amounts or asset types. zkAssets support partial withdrawals and are interchangeable 1:1 with v1's anonAssets.
