据 TechCrunch 报道，由 Sam Altman（山姆奥特曼）联合创立的去中心化生物识别身份验证项目 World 发布最新版应用程序，推出多项新功能，包括端到端加密聊天集成和类似 Venmo 的加密货币收发功能。新版应用被开发团队称为超级应用，其中 World Chat 聊天功能采用端到端加密技术，安全级别等同于 Signal，并通过彩色聊天气泡提示用户对话方是否已通过 World 系统验证。该功能旨在激励用户进行身份验证，让用户能够确认聊天对象的真实身份。在数字支付方面，新版应用扩展了加密货币收发功能，用户可通过虚拟银行账户直接接收工资并从银行账户存款，这些资金均可转换为加密货币。使用这些支付功能无需通过 World 的身份验证系统。据称，World 通过其 Orb 设备扫描用户虹膜进行身份验证，目前已扫描近 2000 万人，目标是扫描 10 亿人。
