According to relevant media reports, BIO Protocol secured $6.9 million in Seed round funding on September 17, 2025. Investors in this round included Maelstrom Capital, Mechanism Capital, Animoca Brands, Zee Prime Capital, Mirana Ventures, Foresight Ventures, Big Brain Holdings, and Panga Capital. Following this round, BIO Protocol’s total cumulative fundraising reached $17.86 million.BIO Protocol is a DeSci financial layer protocol dedicated to accelerating the flow of capital and talent into on-chain science. Through BIO Protocol’s auction contracts, bioDAO can raise funds and directly allocate capital to research programs, intellectual property assets, and other biotechnology organizations. Since its inception, the project has experienced rapid development and achieved several key milestones throughout 2025.Notably, BIO Protocol completed public fundraising rounds of $6.22 million in August 2024 and $4.74 million in November 2024. The project’s native token, BIO, was listed on multiple major exchanges in January 2025 and is issued exclusively on the Ethereum mainnet. To better balance project development, the team proposed a delayed and linear unlocking schedule for team and advisor tokens in May 2025.
